Hello there!

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day and showing interest in my portfolio.

I have my UX Certification from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I am a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (IAAP CPACC.) I am Nielsen Norman Group UX Certified with a Management Specialty and have my Google Analytics Individual Qualification

As a Product Designer and member of the Alight Solutions Product Design Accessibility Team, I partner with accessibility leadership to deliver accessible, inclusive designs with customer-focused outcomes. I help ensure delivery of Alight’s Accessibility standards and WCAG 2.2 AA compliance within Consumer Products. I collaborate with product teams across Alight to highlight the importance of Accessibility, while continuing innovation specific to automation and testing within Product Design.

I provide Accessibility audits and ensure my clients’ websites are WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. My passion for UX design is inspired by the empathy, the mindfulness and the consistent challenge of thinking about the end user.

I worked as a professional Industrial Designer focusing on housewares for five years. My clients included Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma and The Container Store. My understanding of aesthetics and ergonomics now translate into UX design utilizing user journey flows and testing.

I worked within the music industry for 13 years utilizing Service Design as a Venue Manager. I used skills of compassion and problem-solving everyday. The artistic team environment of the music industry provided me skills I apply towards brainstorming empathetic solutions helping the user achieve their goals.

Along with an Industrial Design degree from Purdue University, I graduated with a 3.9/4.0 GPA and a double major in English Literature with a minor in Organizational Leadership and Management. All three provide me the ability to clearly communicate my ideas and assess what colleagues require to fully understand my ideas and thought process.

I hope to connect soon!

Thank you again,
Robert Johnson, CPACC
