Fort Road Federation Case Study
Team project assessing the usability of the website: https://www.fortroadfederation.org
USABILITY ASSESSMENT
Our team’s conclusion for the non-profit, Fort Road Federation, is that they had built a website simply to have an internet presence. They did not build a website that delivered their neighbors’ needs or interests. Fort Road Federation agreed and stated that our findings were clearly spot on.

Our team had the non-profit property, Fort Road Federation, approach us for a usability review.
THE APPROACH
Working as a 10-person team (including two accessibility consultants and the guidance of Matthew Luken), we analyzed the usability and viability of each individual page, link and image.
We identified mis-directed and / or dead links, loading errors, misspellings, redundencies and symmetry between desktop & mobile.

SPHERES OF INFLUENCE
One of my tasks was to help identify what the property’s web users and neighbors utilize on a daily or weekly basis to interact within their own community.
The exercise helped bring into focus exactly what information should be present to create a helpful and user-friendly tool that the neighbors could employ.
